Just finished 2D Entertainment Podcast binge and am sad I didn’t get a chance to listen to the Holiday edition until January. First, “Love Actually” is most definitely a Christmas movie (at the very least its as much as a Christmas movie as Die Hard is). All the storylines are a countdown till Christmas, Bill Nighy sings that annoying (but catchy) “Christmas Is All Around” song throughout the film, and there are Christmas themes/decor throughout the whole film. I guess it isn’t an obvious, in your face Christmas movie, but I would still consider it a Christmas movie. I’d like to see if there was a gender bias in the Love Actually study that Dan mentioned.

On another note, I totally agreed with your entertainment 2013 recap. Breaking Bad wrapped up a great series in television, Gravity showed us a new level of film making, etc. I know you had not seen American Hustle when this aired, but in my opinion, it was the best film of the year…totally loved the cast, era, music, story….everything was perfect. What did you guys think?

Looking forward to another year of 2D Listening.
